Crash is a ‘major, horrific disaster’ – a aviation expert tells DW
DW News spoke to the aviation expert from the UK to Julian Brees, who said his initial impression of the incident is “not good.”
Bray said that the incident appears to be a “major, horrific disaster”, and that his views were all impressed.
“There are emergency teams on the site and trying to find out what happened really and how it happened,” Brey said.
Analyzing the available footage of the accident, Brees said, “We see a white puff of smoke near the engine area … then, almost immediately, we see a fireball behind a group of houses.”
“This seems to be a puff of smoke coming from an engine before its fast lineage, and then we see a fireball. So there is something like being happy at 625 feet, and the pilot had to take out the call on one May, so he knew about something unknown.
Heer said initial reports suggest that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner crashed in a building next to a hospital.
“Currently, this is a discovery and rescue operation, meaning they are expecting to save the remaining people,” Brew explains, “the survivors of this type of incident have.”
But, he said, “Initial videos are not good.”
