An Air India flight with 230 passengers and 12 crew on the board crashed immediately after the takeoff in India’s north -western city of Ahmedabad on Thursday, killing all, but riding on one of all.
The aircraft, powered by a wide-borne Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner Twin Jet Engine, what is bound to the Gatvic Airport in London. This is the first fatal phenomenon to incorporate the Dreamliner aircraft.
In the video posted on social media, Jet lost height and exploded in a ball of fire before he was hit in a medical staff hostel.
The cause of the accident is unknown.
Officials have initiated a formal investigation to find out the cause behind the accident, but Air India has said that investigation will take time.
Jitendra Bhargava, a former Air India Executive Director, said that the officers would fully investigate.
“The industry’s response, investigation and ongoing security reviews, including a system designed to learn from accidents and prevent future events,” he explained the DW.
Planmaker Boeing has said that a team of experts is ready to go to India to help in rehearsal.

Captain Sandeep Bansal, a former fighter pilot, said the aircraft would be important to determine the cause of the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder.
“This accident is a very reminiscent of each of us associated with the aviation industry to be vigilant. These modern aircraft are incredible machines, but they are silent machines. We are human beings, but still humans,” they told DW.
Bansal said, “The cause of this accident can be an environmental threat like human error, sabotage, technical fault or bird strike, which is the cause of Airbus A320 Force Landing in Hudson River in 2009.”
Indian officials said on Friday that the flight data recorder of the aircraft, or the black box was recovered from a roof near the accident site. The aircraft accident investigation bureau said that it had started its work with “full strength”, the Associated Press News Agency said.
The investigation is focusing on the engine, flap and landing gear, the Reuters News Agency reported.
Sanjay Lajar, CEO of Aviaz Consultants and Aviation Expert, said that it seems that the engine has declined.
He said, “It appears that something like the Itatori has happened that you can see from the scenes – that the aircraft could not climb, and there was no emphasis, so Ether was a frightening of both engines or some major english engines,” he told DW.
He said, “Security and engineering standards in Air India have always been at the top position and I cannot see much by mistake there. However, I expect the growing monitoring of airlines across India by the Aviation Regulator of India, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in India.”
India’s aviation regulator on Friday ordered a security check on the entire Boeing -787 fleet.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the accident, and met the lonely survivor in the hospital.
Fast growing aviation market
The incident renewed a debate about air safety in one of the world’s fastest growing aviation markets.
Air India has faced both deadly and non-fatal accidents over the years.
Other Indian airlines like Indigo and SpiceJet have faced issues.
Two years ago, several mid-air technical malfunctions forced pilots to make emergency landing, at that time attracted public attention to the issue of aviation security.
Currently, India is the fourth largest air market in the world including both domestic and international travel.
The International Air Transport Association said it would become the third largest in the next decade.
The Government of India is pumping billions of pumps in the construction of new airports, as well as expanding and modernizing the existing people, performing about 11 trillion dollars for this purpose.
Earlier this month, Modi while addressing the International Air Transport Association (IATA) summit said that the government aims to increase the number of more than 2047 airports of India’s independence.
Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapeu said in the event, “Our domestic traffic has increased by 30%, international traffic has increased from 55 million to 72 million, and in April 2025, domestic air traffic has increased by 10% – 8%surpassed the global growth rate of 8%.”
Officials believe that the confidence of restoring and maintaining is necessary to maintain an increase in civil aviation sector.
