The two brothers of Rajasthan – Subhash Bijarniyan and Ranveer Bijarni – have allegedly cheated about Rs 2,676 crore from about 70,000 people with their colleagues. Two brothers from Sikar district formed a company called Nexa Evergreen and allegedly cheated investors by promising more returns and land in Gujarat’s ‘Dholera Smart City’. He also cheated investors by showing pictures of different projects in Dholera city.
The project also included commissions and rewards to refer to level income and others. Under this, when you invest for any one fixed limit, you were promised to give rewards like laptops, bikes and cars accordingly.
He also promised to give additional commission to investors if he could recruit more investors under his unique ID.
‘Dholera Smart City Scam’
Ranveer Bijarani first bought land in Dholera in 2014. After this, retired army employee Subhash also bought land for Rs 30 lakh after retirement.
The two brothers then formed Nexa Evergreen and registered it in Ahmedabad in 2021.
The company described itself as part of the ‘Dholera Smart City’ project and claimed that they had 1,300 bighas of land, which would be converted into a world -class city.
More than 70,000 people were lured by flats, plots and investment schemes and promised huge profits. Around Rs 2,676 crore was raised from investors across the country.
He also chose his top officials, including Salim Khan, Sameer, Datar Singh, Rakshapal, Ompal and Sanwarmal. Through them, he created thousands of agents in Rajasthan, who received heavy commissions.
About 1,500 crore rupees were distributed as commission. He then bought 1,300 bighas of land with fraud money.
He later bought luxury cars, mines and hotels in Ahmedabad and 25 resorts in Goa. He took Rs 250 crore cash and transferred the remaining money to 27 fake companies.
After the alleged fraud, he closed all his offices and fled. In Jodhpur, Rajasthan, the police registered a case of fraud and started investigation.
The Enforcement Directorate conducted a search operation at 25 places in Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Ahmedabad on Thursday in connection with the money laundering investigation related to Nexa Evergreen fraud.
Real Dholera Smart City Project
Dholera is a joint project between Smart City Project Center and Gujarat. It is the first Greenfield Smart City in India and twice the size from Delhi (920 sq km).
Office of an international airport and multi national companies is being set up. It is expected to develop by 2042.
