Spicejet news: The SpiceJet aircraft, leaving for Tirupati, the religious city of Andhra Pradesh from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, returned to the airport on Thursday (June 19) due to a malfunction. Aircraft number SG2696 was to leave at 6.10 am on Thursday. But the aircraft flew from Hyderabad at 6.19 am.
Officials said that the aircraft was to land at Tirupati at 7.40 am. But according to sources, the aircraft returned to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport shortly after flying. There is no news of anyone being injured.
SpiceJet issued a statement on the issue, saying that in the flight, “Aft baggage door light was getting intermittent lights.” He also said that the flight was returned as a precaution.
SpiceJet said, “On June 19, 2025, the SpiceJet Q400 aircraft, which operates the Hyderabad-Tirupati flight, was intermittent light in the AFT baggage door light after the take-off. The pressure in the cabin was normal all the time. The pilots decided to return to the Hyderabad. Gaya. The aircraft did not make an emergency landing.
This news has come at a time when there are reports of many flights returning due to technical fault. These include the latest flight of Delhi-Leh Indigo which returned to the national capital Delhi after being in the air for more than two hours.

Indigo spokesperson said in a statement, “The flight of Indigo leaving from Delhi to Leh on 19 June 2025 returned to the original place due to a technical problem. As per the rules, the pilot brought the aircraft back to Delhi.” The spokesperson also said that necessary investigation of the aircraft is being done before starting the operation.

“Meanwhile, an alternative aircraft has been arranged to take passengers to Leh,” the spokesman said. He regretted the inconvenience caused to the passengers. The aircraft had about 180 passengers, including the crew members. At present, there is no news of anyone being injured.
