Hurricane Erick News: There has been a fierce cyclonic storm in North American country Mexico. This storm of category 4 collided with Oksaka state coast as a store of category 3. In Mexico, about 15000 km from India, Hurrican Eric has landed with a stormy speed of 200 km per hour. This has caused widespread havoc in the affected areas. The situation became such that the government had to issue advisory and advise people to stay in their homes. Apart from this, an order was issued to close the schools. All kinds of activities on Hurricane Eric’s route were suspended with immediate effect. Along with this, going to the beach was also banned, so that the common people could be saved from the high waves of the sea. Cyclone Eric is expected to cause a widespread scale loss, which is currently being assessed.

Appeal to stay in homes, school closed
However, after colliding with the hilly areas, the intensity of the storm has started decreasing rapidly and it is likely to end completely by Friday morning. Hurricane Eric has received heavy rainfall. Due to this, flood situation has arisen in Oxaca, Gurroro and Chiapas states. The possibility of landlide has also increased. President Claudia Sheenbaoum said that there are strong winds and heavy rains in the coastal areas of Gyurro and Oxaca, although the loss is still going on. He has appealed to Longo to stay at home and follow the instructions of the administration. All activities in Eric’s influence area were suspended on Wednesday itself. The Governor of the state of Guerro, Evilin Salgado announced that all traffic should be stopped in Ekapulko and other sea areas after 8 pm. An order was issued to close schools across the state till Thursday. 582 relief camps have also been prepared in Gurrora.
Torrential rain, fears of landslide
According to officials, there is a possibility of torrential rains in Eric affected areas, which can lead to landslides with rivers. Some mountainous parts of Gurero may receive up to 16 inches of rain by the end of the week, while the coastal areas of Oxaca and Gurrora are predicted to receive up to 8 inches of rain. Ekapulko (which was destroyed by the devastating storm Otis in October 2023) is not in the straight grip of Eric, but there is also a warning of up to 6 inches of rain and 45 mph winds. Due to this, there is an atmosphere of fear among the local people. Those who face widespread destruction in Otis say that government warnings scare them and remind them of the past experiences.
