Washington. The US Air Force has expressed concern about China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) missile capabilities and its development of its ‘Kill Web’ technology. In view of this, the upcoming budget request of the US Department of Defense has insisted on increasing security in Indo-Pacific due to increasing threat from China. American experts believe that China’s full -scale attack on Taiwan is both risky and impossible. Which shows that Beijing is more likely to adopt forceful measures like political war or blockade to achieve its purpose.
The US Air Force Secretary Troy Mink and Chief General Chance Saltzman of Space Operations participated in the hearing of the Senate Deputy Committee to discuss the defense budget for the coming year. Both Mink and Saltzmann said that the PLA is developing rapidly in its ballistic missile capabilities. He said that China has more than 900 short distance missiles in targeting Taiwan. There are 400 land-based missiles as well. Apart from this, he 1,300 km in China. The distance also shed light on the reserves of ballistic missiles. China’s 500 km distance ballistic missiles can reach parts of Alaska and Australia and more than 400 intercontinental ballistic missiles are capable of delivering atomic payloads globally.
‘Kill web’ technology
Saltzmanman expressed his biggest concern about China’s ‘Kill Web’ technology. Which makes PLA able to keep an eye on the US forces from far away. He said that China has already deployed more than 470 intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance satellites, who contribute information to a modern sensor-to-shooter Kill web. Its Kil web sensors directly connects the strike units. Data carries the attacks at a high speed through sharing and automation. Due to which attacks can be carried out within seconds.
American Kill Chen reply to Kill Web
China’s ‘Kill Web’ technology is not just a network of missiles or drones. It is a new technique to completely surround the enemy in the battlefield. Its purpose is to create a fabric by adding radar, sensor, satellite and missiles together, which can catch any enemy activity in a moment and retaliate itself. The US fears that this system may prove to be dangerous for their fighter jets and warships. China is now getting ready for ‘Multi-Domain Warfare’, not a traditional war. It has the ability to attack together on every front like sky, sea, space and cyber. Actually, the US Air Force has been moving on a strategy called ‘Kill Chen’ so far. In which the entire process, from the identity of the enemy to the end of it, runs in a line. But China’s ‘Kill Web’ converts the same line into a net. Which includes attacking different targets from several places simultaneously without any human order.
