In Rajasthan, more than 70000 farmers have suffered heavy losses due to the crop damaged by hail. The Rajasthan government has approved the fund to help these farmers. According to the news agency PTI, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has approved Rs 239 crore in agricultural input subsidy for more than 70,000 farmers affected by hailstorm during the 2024-25 Rabi season.
This relief amount will be given to farmers of 143 villages of 8 districts from the disaster relief fund of the state i.e. Disaster Relief Fund. According to PTI, officials say that hail has damaged crops in 18 tehsils of these 8 districts. In order to help the affected farmers, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan took a rapid action and ordered an immediate survey to assess the damage. After assessment, 143 villages were declared scarce.
The Rajasthan government has initiated initiatives for farmers for farmers’ Kisan Samman Nidhi, interest free short term crop loan, additional bonus on purchase of wheat, and early payment of insurance claim under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme.
Rain in many parts of Rajasthan on 27 June
On Friday, June 27, many parts of Rajasthan received heavy rains. Jaisalmer recorded 68.4 mm of rainfall. From 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Alwar recorded 27.8 mm of rain. Jodhpur recorded 18.6 mm rainfall, Sikar 18 mm and Kota 9.2 mm rainfall. On Friday, Sriganganagar was the hottest place in the state with a temperature of 39.3 degrees Celsius. At the same time, Sirohi recorded the lowest temperature of 20.3 degrees Celsius. Most of the cities of the state had a maximum temperature between 23 and 39 degrees Celsius.

Sajjangarh in Banswara district received the highest 130 mm rainfall in 24 hours ending on Friday morning at 8:30 am. After this, 110 mm of rain was recorded at Bassi in Jaipur, Sallavapat in Banswara and Veja in Dungarpur. Sagwara in Dungarpur received 100 mm of rain.
