The eldest son of Norway’s Crown Princess was accused of rape, sexual harassment and physical damage on Friday after ten months of investigation.
Marius Borg is the 28-year-old son of Hobby Crown Princess Met-Marit and the steps of the throne-music Rajkumar Hakon. He was arrested several times in 2024 amid rape charges and initial allegations of physical damage.
Police dealing with ‘double digits’ allegations
Hoibi has since faced investigation and is at the center of an investigation involving the number of “double digits” of the victims.
Oslo Police Attorney Andreas Cruszevsky said at a news conference, “I can’t go ahead about the number of victims in the case, beyond confirming that this is a double digit number.”
He said that the allegations include a rape including sexual intercourse, two cases of rape without sexual intercourse, four cases of sexual harassment and two cases of physical damage.
Attorney said the evidence was collected from sources including lessons, police search and witness testimony.
In an email to the Associated Press, Defense Attorney Petar said the hobby was “taking the allegations very seriously, but in most cases does not accept any wrongdoing – especially cases about sexual exploitation and violence.”
What do we know about Haibi?
Before marrying Crown Prince Hakon, the eldest son of the Crown Princess is from a separate relationship.
Hoibi grew up with privatization of other royals, but does not hold a formal title or does not have a public role.
Last year, following initial allegations of physical damage, Hobby admitted the task of violence directed towards his partner under the influence of alcohol and cocaine. In a statement for the public, he spoke of psychological problems and misuse of long -term drugs.
