When she was selected for the post in March, Julia Clockener – an Archconsv he who enjoys walking in culture wars – was considered a stunning option for the President of the German Parliament, and she has done very little work from the then.
In late June, he announced the members of the Progressive Bundestag that the Rainbow Pride Flag would not fly from the Parliament House, Rechstag on the Christopher Street Day on 26 July, as is traditionally the case. Clocaner decided that the quir members of the Bundestag administration were not to participate in the CSD parade in official capacity. His attitude inspired Green and Left Party Parliamentians to protest by wearing colored clothes in the chamber to create their own rainbow.
By that time, Clocaine had already shown that she was going to implement a strict interpretation of the rules of Bundestag’s clothing – the thesis state, but vaguely, that members’ clothes should simply have “the dignity of the chamber”.
In early June, the rule gave the Bundestag President a member of the Left Party to refuse to remove the “Palestine”, a member of the Left Party to send a member of the Left Party out of a debate to send a member of the Left Party. A former Agriculture Minister, 52-year-old Clockener, a former Agriculture Minister under Chancellor Angela Merkel has long been a senior politician of the Center-Halcony Democratic Union (CDU), and a confidant for Chancellor Frederick Merz. In his acceptance speech, Clochener said, “I have vowed strongly to complete my actions, always, peacefully and inadvertently, join with others, be clear on the matter.”
Fairness is certainly a watchword for someone in his office: the president of Bundestag is formally the second head of the German state (after the President and ahead of Chancellor). And, although it has no regulation, but the office is traditionally the hero, the largest parliamentary group by someone – in this case, CDU/CSU.
A neutral sub -state state
Klöckner is known as a feudal conservative who is not shy with the push button. In the run-up for the federal election of February, he created a stir by posting a combative statement on Instagram: “AFD does not have to vote for what you want. It was seen as a trivialization of options for Germany (AFD) by critics and a fundamental entry that the CDU had adopted the remote party’s exit party.
This was not the first time that Clocaner took a tough line on the immigration policy: in 2015, when a large number of refugee CAM from Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq demanded CAM in Germany to CAMKner from CAMKner to Clocator that they were bound to legally integrate in society. In 2023, a wrong claim was made on social media that Dental Care for shelters had cost German state € 690 million ($ 746 million) in the previous year.
Klöckner is not up to call for more frugal than others, especially in an interview with Christian Church: Image on sunday Newspaper in April, he said that the church should talk less about day-to-day politics and more about spiritual matters. “I mean, Sura, the church can express his opinion on the speed range, but it is not necessary why I pay the church,” he said.
Nor was he appointed in a new Bundestag role without some detractor: Clochenner left his post as CDU treasurer after NGO lobbycontrol, who will be given the task of overseeing party donation, as the chairman of Bundestag. He said that he had planned to leave the post anyway before taking a new job.
A knot-always a straight career path
The Klöckner is the daughter of a winegover from the western state of Rhinland-Paltonate. His prestigious early roles included the office in 1995 as the German Wine Queen, including more than 200 public appointments in a year.
Trained as a journalist, Clockener led the CDU in his home state from 2010 to 2022, during which he spent four years as Federal Agriculture Minister from 2018 to 2021.
Environmental organizations criticized Clochenner for ineffective policy -making and an alleged proximity to the food industry – especially Nestle: In 2019, they were openly posted on social media and openly advertising for international food processing giants, which appeared in addition to the head of Germany in Nestle and to reduce the quantity of its food –
Bundestag president’s job
The President presides over the full sessions of Bundestag and oversee the laws that control Parliament. He or he represents Parliament as a whole, finding a memorial ceremony as a hero every year on 27 January to mark Holocost. The President sometimes speaks during the state visits by foreign heads of the government or heads of the state.
The President is bound to respect the rights of all the parties, which is why the post is Obten Heron with a comprehensive parliamentary experience which is a hero in a high relationship by all parliament groups and parties.
It was especially a case with the Wolfgang Skyable, a CDU veteran of several cabinet positions, who was the chairman of Bundestag from 2017 to 2021. Cloakner, comparatively, has a low experience and some would say a more divisive figure.
