Researchers have solved a long -term mystery about the origin of uralic languages. He was known to go back thousands of years, but who originally spoke him?
To find out, the researchers jointly combined genetic and archaeological data to find out the ancestral origin of those who now speak Uralic language.
their studies, published in NatureDescribe how he found a ‘genetic tracer dye’ for the spread of a uralic speaking population in Eurasia 4,000 years ago and 4,000 years ago.
This shows how the uralic people move from Siberia as the Baltic Sea and East Asia, bringing with technological progress and uralic language.
So it shows how ~ 25 million Uralic language speakers live today that this dynasty can be detected in their DNA.
“This study is incredibly exciting for me as Estonian. We are a little contributor to Uralic Speaker Siberian DNA – about 5% [of our total DNA]Now it seems that thesis genes combine all Uralic people with our ancestral cultures and languages, “said Archaeological Specialist Christina Tambates at the University of Tartu, Estonia, who were not involved in the study.
What is the ancestral homeland of the uralic people?
Scientists have first discovered the roots of Indo-Europe languages. This linguistic root started 5000 years ago through people migrating from Central Asia to Europe and India. Finally, the language tied branches in modern groups such as Germanic, Slavick and Romance.
But the uralic languages are completely different – experts do not fully understand the origin of the language, or who spoke it. This is because the uralic languages search as people spoken in Estonia, Hungary and Finland, all come from completely different linguistic origin compared to the Indo-Europe.
Linguists believe that the modern day near the Ural Mountains in Russia and Kazakhstan, uralic languages would have originated from somewhere. But the debate is where it was really, and how the ureus spread through languages.
The study authors aimed to solve this mystery by studying the genes of ancient uralic people. By analyzing patterns and variations in DNA from ancient individuals, they can reconstruct how the thesis population migrates on several generations.
He tested the genome of 180 ancient uralic people, who lived closely with a full range of Russia and its neighbors in a vast area of Eurasia-Mapping 11,000–4,000 years ago. He compared this ancient genomic data to DNA to 1,312 ancient people already studied by scientists.
His data showed a complex picture of how the uralic people migrated through Siberia in thousands of years from many original regions.
“This study gives us the origin and mechanism of spreading the uralic people during the bronze age,” the Tambates said.
Finding the genetics of these migrating people, researchers found that early proto-euric people have closed the industry in many different groups over thousands of years.
A major group went to the west in the region such as Finland, Estonia and Northwest Russia, where the uralic language speakers today live.
Another Proto-Oralik group called Yenisans, closed to live in Central Siberia about 5.400 years ago. There, the only living Yenisian language is Kate.
And another branch moved to East Asia about 4,500 years ago, which authors say that many Uralik speaking people are East Asian descendants today. Some of these people who moved to America and gave birth to original Americans.
Other uralic groups migrated west in Hungary about 3,000 years ago in the Central Eurasian stapy land.
This study supports the idea that Eastern Ural mountains are homeland for uralic languages.
“He said, it is not possible to say in which languages people speak on the basis of their genes,” said Tambates.
Ancient Uralic people influenced modern culture
Tambets, who headed the Center of Excellence of Estonian Roots, stated that the study is “way” to solve questions about the dynasty.
“This simultaneously draws the beaches about all thesis genetics, language and archeology. It shows how the people who are free today trace how their ancestors have followed it. [migration] 4,000 years ago, the route spread further with super cool technological progress. ,
By “Super Cool Advancements”, tambets refer to metallurgy, especially with copper and bronze, and business networks that develop early uralic people.
The migrant uralic people affected the cultures that already lived through the Eurasian land.
“Quick [Indo-European] After this huge migration in Baltic, later the uralic speaking came together. I am a mosaic of this integration, “said Tambates.
Along with preserving their languages, the uralic people, so influenced the Indo-European languages that most of the European today speak. For example, linguists believe words like “water”, “pot”, and “fish” may have originally stemmed from proto -UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
