Singer-singer Angelic Kidzo and actress Deepika Padukone are set to make history on the prestigious Hollywood walk.
The two women nominated by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce were among the 35 celebrities as part of The Walk of Fame. Class of 2026.
Kidzo is the first black African to receive the honor, and Padukone is the first Indian Act.

Kidjo, who spent more than four decades of combining West African music with global styles, took to Instagram to say that “Thanks to all my fans who brought me here.”
The five -time Grammy winner, who was born in Benin, announced what was given as Africa’s “Premier Diva” during a press conference on Wednesday.
Kidjo, who is a UNICEF and Oxfam Ambassador, will join the South African Charlies Theron, who in 2005 received his star as the only other celebrity in Africa on the famous pavement.

Sabu Dastagir, who made his Hollywood debut in the 1930s, was the first Indian actor to join the Walk of Fame in 1960.

The date of unveiling of their stars has not been announced yet; The recipients have two years to schedule the induction ceremony.
