Pakistan’s Air Force Chief has now reached America.
Highlights
- Pakistan Air Force Chief has reached America
- Earlier, Army Chief Aseem Munir went to America
- Various questions are being raised about this journey
According to PAF (Pakistan Air Force), Air Chief Siddu held the US Air Force Chief of Staff General David Allwin and International Affairs Secretary Kelly L. Meeting Seybolt. During the discussion, it was agreed to increase joint training, technical partnership and military cooperation between the two countries. In recent times, Pakistan has been apprehensive about the credibility of China’s weapons, especially after a tough fight from the Indian Air Force during Operation Sindoor. According to reports, Pakistan is now planning to buy state-of-the-art fighter aircraft, Himars cannon system and air defense technology from the US. Earlier there was news that Pakistan would buy fifth generation fighter aircraft from China. But recently, Pakistan’s Defense Minister denied this.
Pakistan getting away from China?
During the Operation Sindoor, when the Ministry of Defense of China was questioned about the poor performance of Pakistani weapons, he refused to answer directly. India has also recovered the PL-15E missile of China in this struggle, which is the air-to-air missile of China. When this was further emphasized, the Chinese Defense Officer just said, “Pakistan got help from China’s air defense and satellite systems, but the performance of these systems was less than average.” He said, ‘We would like to emphasize that India and Pakistan are neighbors that cannot be shaken. We hope that both sides will be calm and restrained to save the situation from becoming more complicated. It is clear from this ‘balanced reply’ of China that it wants to avoid discussion on Pakistan’s weaknesses, while Pakistan is now extending hands towards America once again. The question is also whether Pakistan has become disillusioned with China?
America-Pakistan coming close
After the 9/11 attacks, America’s vision towards India and Pakistan was not the same during the search for terrorist Osama bin Laden. The US had abolished the policy of looking at India and Pakistan at the same level. The meeting of Osama near a military training headquarters in Abbottabad attracted America more towards India, but now some incidents ‘re-Hifting’ means that the two countries again indicate the thinking of looking together. Former US National Security Advisor John Bolton also expressed concern about this.
He said, ‘I think there was a lot of de-hyponization after 9/11 and I think the then President Bush worked hard for this. But now the alliance of Russia-China is a big danger and there is a lot to talk about it. He further said, ‘It is sad for me that Pakistan is now under the influence of China. After all, this is not going to be beneficial for them. There will be a need to understand between India and Pakistan for peace in South Asia.
What is India’s tension?
Donald Trump has tried to take credit for Operation Sindoor in India. India has been calling it a bilateral decision. While Pakistan is completely speaking the language of Trump and is also giving credit to them for ceasefire. Pakistan has even demanded the Nobel Peace Prize for Trump. The big tension for India is that China’s relation is already good with Pakistan and now it is improving relations with America too. In such a situation, India will now look for new partners in the region and will work towards reinforcing the relationship with old colleagues.
