Famous tech company Microsoft, Microsoft, is covered with its boria bed after 25 years. The company has announced the closure of its limited operations in Pakistan. He wrote on LinkedIn that even veteran global companies like Microsoft find it unbalanced to stay in Pakistan. Former Pakistan President Arif Alvi has also expressed concern over the closure of Microsoft’s operations. He has said that this is a worrying sign for our economic future.
Why Microsoft took this decision
The company has done so under its global strategy of cutting workforce. Microsoft has cited a change in global restructuring and cloud-based, partner-lad model behind closing its office in Pakistan. Microsoft is cutting around 9000 jobs worldwide. This number is about 4 percent of the total workforce of the company. Microsoft had earlier trimmed around 6,000 employees in May this year, which was Microsoft’s largest pruning over the years. After that in early June, news came that the company dropped more than 300 employees.
