The US southern state of Texas is known for its dry region. However, the July 4 flood changed everything. The floods in the camp have killed at least 104 people. The dead includes 28 children.

Ker County officials said that 27 children and counselors have died in the camp mistic. They were sleeping in their cabins. Local administration and volunteers are looking for the removal of the debris of trees and the bodies flowing in the rivers. The mother of a village told that her son swam out of the cabin’s window, while the daughter saved her life by running towards the hill to escape the flowing water.
There was no danger of danger
These cabins, situated on the banks of the Gwadalup River in Texas Hill Country, were not at risk of floods. But, the sudden flood in the early hours of Friday not only took away these cabins but also took hundreds of people into the river. Many people were seen clinging to trees, who could somehow save their lives. Things are looking very frightening. In the grounds of the river, the views now- piles of scattered trees, mattresses, fridges, coolers and broken boats. Some memories are also buried in these debris such as volleyball, family photos and broken memories.

In view of the intensity of floods, the local administration had already issued a flash flood warning in many areas. But, questions are arising that why many summer camps did not remove the children on time. Due to lack of mobile networks in camps, the warning could not reach on time. Texas Governor Greg Abbott reported that more than three dozen people are still missing and the number of dead may increase further. At the same time, a local citizen Regan Brown said that his 80-year-old parents managed to escape the floods. He also saved his 92 -year -old neighbor. This family saved itself by hiding in his tool shed.
