According to consistent media reports, the online retailer Otto is planning to revise its home office rule. A test phase will start in January in which employees must be present in the office at least 50% of the time. An announcement on the company’s intranet was said to have received mostly criticism. According to NDR, 200 of the 5,000 employees made negative comments. Many have already adapted their lifestyle to the existing home office rule and now have to reorganize. A meeting for open questions and points of criticism with all employees and the board is planned for Thursday.
