It is 642 kilometers from Berlin to Rottach Egern. Udo Robakowski currently drives it twice a week – down on Wednesday evening and up again on Saturday evening. The 54-year-old owner wants to personally accompany the start of his new business on Tegernsee. The beginning, he says, went very well: he received a lot of positive feedback from customers.
Because he has had many customers from the region in southern Germany for years and often receives shoes from this area to be repaired, he thought about “what he could do there” some time ago, the entrepreneur tells schuhkurier. He looked around for a local shop and found a nice one in Rottach Egern. Shoes and accessories are now offered on 60 square meters in an elegant ambience with a Bavarian touch – all high quality, special and beautiful – and of course the repair service for which the company is known throughout Germany.
A ten-person team is there to serve customers at the established Bleibtreustrasse location in Berlin. Employees currently have to work without their boss from Thursday to Saturday. In the near future, Robakowski wants to look for an employee for the new store in southern Germany.
First of all, the new baby should continue to be nurtured and cared for and the entrepreneur is satisfied with the start. “It’s nice to tell a positive story when times are so difficult,” says Robakowski and adds: “Now I’m looking forward to the Christmas business.”
