According to CBS News, 13 years ago, a couple, who came to visit Bell Island in Newfoundland province, Canada, adopted a unique way to capture a special moment. Brad and Anita Squeeers ate food sitting on the sea shore, drank wine and wrote a message in memory of that moment. Some strange thoughts came to his mind and he closed this message in a bottle and threw it into the Atlantic Ocean.
‘Mysterious’ bottle found in the sea
A strange bottle came on the shore of Ireland’s Mahrij Island. This bottle was found to a couple named Kate and John Gay, who are associated with the Maharees Conservation Association there. Kate told that he did not see any handwriting in the bottle initially, so we decided to open it in the evening with friends. That evening when he opened the bottle and read the message, everyone was surprised. He immediately took pictures of this slip and shared Facebook, which went viral in no time.
What was written in the bottle?
On the slip in the bottle, it was written – ‘Anita and Brad’s bell is one day on the island. Today we enjoyed dinner, wine and each other. If you get this message, call us. Brad felt that the bottle might have broken into the rocks, because he did not see it falling in the water. However, luck had decided something else. The bottle floated in the sea waves for 13 years and reached Ireland by covering a distance of about 2,000 miles.
Finally found the owner of the bottle
The couple wrote in his Facebook post- ‘So long distance and so long time… but in the end it reached us. Now just pick up Anita and Brad phones’. As soon as the post spread, Brad and Anita, who are now married and have three children, they recognized their bottles. He himself approached the couple. Brad said- ‘We think we have made new friends. This moment is very special for us’. This cute interesting story went viral and people found it very fun.
