The outdoor shoe manufacturer AKU officially recognizes its reduction plan by the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTI). The SBTI is a global climate protection initiative that supports companies to define scientifically well -founded goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
AKU has the measurement of the data and the strategy validated by the initiative. The emissions are recorded annually in accordance with ISO 14064, checked by an independent position and published in the AKU respons. “We continue our path with determination and trust in change,” says Paolo Bordin, CEO of AKU. “Responsible action remains our guiding principle and a central value of our brand.”
The validation confirms that AKU pursues measurable goals:

- Implementation of the action plan to reduce emission in the target categories
- Annual review and evaluation of progress
