On July 1, the bankruptcy proceedings in self -administration via Onygo Retail GmbH were opened by the Hamburg District Court. The opening was requested on April 22, 2025. Attorney Michael W. Kleisa was appointed administrator by the Hamburg law firm Schwemer Titz & Tötter. Creditors can register their claims by August 25th, the examination date is scheduled for September 24th.
After that, when it comes to managing director Frank Revermann, it should go on with onygo. According to information from the textile industry, Worthwalter Michael Kuleisa confirmed that Frank Revermann wanted to continue the company. The bankruptcy plan stipulates that ten of the currently 23 shops and 100 of the 150 jobs can remain after the renovation. The implementation of the bankruptcy plan is made more difficult by the fact that Onygo reported mass tuning on July 11th. A masseunnuneness is sometimes also referred to as “bankruptcy in bankruptcy” and means that not all mass liabilities can be covered. A request from Schuhkurier to confirm the information is available at the law firm Schwemer Titz & Tötter.
Frank Revermann took over Onygo as the owner and managing director of Deichmann. In October 2023, Deichmann announced that he wanted to close the branch lists at the time 28 branches until August 31, 2024. The Essen branchist explained “that our business model, which is aimed at a young fashionable customer, cannot be operated economically in the long term.” The former Görtz CEO Revermann took over the concept in March and founded onygo Retail GmbH, which in turn applied for the opening of insolvency proceedings in self-administration a little over a year later.
