Merz to organize first summer press conference
German Chancellor Frederick Merz will hold his first summer press conference since taking oath as a position in May on Friday morning.
Annual event, which usually begins with a statement by the Chancellor after the questions of journalists, may last for hours and have the final appearance of a Chancellor before going on a summer vacation.
Merz is expected to question the recent adjournment of appointments at the Constitutional Court of Germany in Parliament, war in Ukraine, and the ongoing tariff spat with the US.

Dobrindt host zugspitz migration summit
German internal minister Alexander Dobrid will host several European Union colleagues to discuss the migration policy in the block on Friday.
The meeting, which will be at the top of Germany’s highest mountain, will be at the top of the Zugspitz, will be attended by the internal affairs of the Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France and Poland, along with the internal affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner of the European Union Commissioner.
The ministers have been determined to discuss exile in the third countries as well as to move refuge application processes, fight human traffic and discuss the security of the external borders of the European Union.
Dobrindt has stated that it aims to issue a so -called “Zugspitze declaration” at the end of the meeting.
Critics have termed the meeting as a “separation summit”.
