Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said on Saturday that a person was suspected of driving a car in a mob in Hollywood, was hospitalized and she was undergoing surgery.
The car Raming took place at the entrance of a nightclub in the early hours of Saturday. Some 30 people were injured in the incident.
Officials said the man was shot during the incident, although it was not clear whether he was shot before in the crowd.
“He is taken to the war to the hospital, he is undergoing surgery, he is in a stable position. However, he is not free to leave, he is in custody of the Los Angeles Police Department, and we are looking at the allegations of murder and searching with a deadly weapon at this point,” Lillian Carenza, LAPD, told us Broadcasting CBS.
What do we know about Raming?
The incident occurred outside the Vermont Night Club, said La Fire and Police Department, just before 2 in local time (0900 GMT/UTC). The site was allegedly hosting a Rege/Hip Hop event.
People were queuing up to the nightclub next to a taco cart and when Raming took place, there was a valet queue.
A spokesman for the fire department said that the car had targeted a food truck outside the night club earlier, that it went through a valete parking stand and finally in a large group of people who were waiting to enter the site, mostly women.
A police statement said, “Wann officials arrived, found that the driver attacked by Betanders and determined that he had made a gun wound.”
The LA Police Department said that the incident is still being investigated.
Police said that a person suspected shooting that the driver took part on foot. Hey, it is probably equipped with a silver revolver.
The LA Fire Department SAAID 23 people were taken to local hospitals, seven in critical condition, while others were placed on the spot.
Mayor Karen Bass said the incident was “a heart -wrenching tragedy” and thanks to more than 100 LAFDs and LAPD personnel reacted to the spot to help save life. “
