Midtown Manhattan Shooting: Holi of blood has been played once again in America. A gunman opened fire on Monday at Central Manhattan. At least four people were killed in it. The deceased also includes an officer of the New York Police Department. Later, the gunman was killed in police action.

The incident occurred when the gunman opened fire in a skyscraper of Midtown Manhattan. It has offices of several major financial firms including NFL headquarters and hedge fund giant Blackstone. Many people were injured in this firing.

According to media reports, the gunman has been identified as 27 -year -old Shane Tamura. However, there is an official confirmation about this. The Associated Press quoted a spokesperson as saying that the call came around 6.30 pm (local time). As soon as the incident was reported, many ambulances gathered around and many helicopters were hovering over the spot.

The area has several five -star commercial hotels and many corporate headquarters. These include Colgate Pamolive and KPMG. New York Mayor Eric Adams said in a video message posted on X that many people have been ‘injured’ in the shootout. He expressed his ‘deep condolences’ to the family of the slain officer.
