For the second time in a row, the safety shoe manufacturer was awarded the platinum medal from Ecovadis-the highest rating that the renowned platform awards. This means that Elten is again one of the best one percent of all companies rated worldwide. “This award confirms our long -term commitment to the environment and society,” says managing director Jörg van Elten. After twice gold in 2022 and 2023, Elten achieved platinum in 2024 and 2025.
Ecovadis evaluates companies based on international standards in the areas of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. Elten convinces with his ISO 14001 certification, a photovoltaic system with 938 kilowatt peak and its holistic sustainability strategy “Elten Loop”. With memberships in organizations such as the Leather Working Group or Amfori, the family company also underlines its claim to also take responsibility beyond their own operating limits.
