Trump DW states: Ukrainian probably wants to allow to live in America
US President Donald Trumpas indicated that Ukrainian refugees would be allowed to live in the United States until the Russian invasion ends.
“I think we will, yes, I will,” Trump told DW’s Misha Komadowski whether he would be asked if he would allow Ukrainian who ran away to stay on the banks of the states.
“We have a lot of people who come from Ukraine, and we are working with the subject,” he said.
Around 240,000 Ukrainian Nationals have fled to the United States for a full scale Russian invasion in February 2022, but their residence situation has been doubted as the Trump administration has torn the irregular migration and refugee.
In an executive order on 20 January, Trump directed the US Homeland Security Department to “abolish all the category parole programs” – which would include “solidarity for Ukraine” (U4U) initiative that was launched by former US President Joe Biden.
