Reunion in Offenbach: Groundies also presented his collections at the first Barefoot fair in Offenbach. Also included: Michael Hanus, since October 2024 Head of Product at the company. Hanus was positively surprised by the premiere event: the mood was good, the format is interesting.
In addition to sporty styles, Groundies also relies on models that don’t look like classic barefoot shoes. The keyword here is a “hidden” zero blast. Business variants and boat shoes are also part of the range. In addition to the wide toe box, which is typical of barefoot shoes, the company also offers variants with “regular” strips.
After completing his training and studying business informatics, Michael Hanus started his career in the 2012 industry at Gabor Footwear GmbH. From 2014 to 2016 he worked in the areas of collections, development and sales at Supremo in Pirmasens. From 2016, eight years in the product management of Kennel and Schmenger followed. Hanus Head of Products has been at the barefoot shoe manufacturer Groundies since October 2024.
