Negotiations related to trade deal between America and India are going on. But meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has made a claim that can increase the ruckus. In India’s internal affairs, he has once again intervened with his rage. Donald Trump on Friday claimed a shocking claim that India would no longer buy oil from Russia and they called it a ‘a good step’. However, he also added that he has ‘heard’ this information and it has not been confirmed. In such a situation, the question arises that why Donald Trump, sitting in the post of President of America, makes such a rage from a heard information?

The timing of his statement is very special. A day before this statement, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that India is buying oil from Russia, which is definitely a matter of irritation in the US-India relationship. Donald Trump was leaving for his Bedminster Golf Club in New Jersey from White House when he gave this statement while talking to reporters. He said, ‘I have got information that India will no longer buy oil from Russia. This is a good step. Let’s see what happens next. This comment has come at a time when Trump has announced a heavy tariff of 25% due to large scale military equipment and oil from Russia.

India stopped buying oil from Russia?

Prior to Trump’s statement, news agency Reuters said in a report that the oil coming from Russia in India has suddenly stopped. The four largest government oil companies of the country- IOC, BPCL, HPCL and MRPL- have almost stopped buying Russian crude oil for the past one week. According to reports, the discount on Russian oil in July has reduced considerably compared to earlier. In such a situation, the government companies of India are now turning to the spot market i.e. immediate purchase and sale market. From here, she is buying Abu Dhabi’s Muruban grade and crude oil coming from West Africa.
