The Rwanda government said on Tuesday that it had agreed to receive a detailed migrants from the US as US President Donald Trump’s part of the plan to deport in third countries.
Rawandan government spokesman Yolande Macoler confirmed that his country would be deported from the US with “the ability to approve every person proposed for rehabilitation” under the agreement.
With the move, Rwanda connects two other African countries, South Sudan and Evatini to accept Trump’s plan.
The State Department did not comment on the matter, but indicated that America “works with Rwanda on a range of mutual priorities.”
All this comes in view of a controversial multimilian dollar deal, Rwanda killed Britain to take her into her exiled. But in 2023, the British Supreme Court hit the deal, deciding that Rwanda was not a third country safe for migrants.
What did Rwanda say?
No details have been proved on how soon the exile would reach. There was no comment on the fact that if there was any, Rwanda migrant would start again in exchange for taking exile.
In detail why Rwanda signed, Makolo said that the agreement means that the African country was doing its share to help in international migration issues because “our social values are established on rethinking and rehabilitation.”
He said that his country’s wood “maintains the ability to approve everyone proposed for rehabilitation.”
“Those approved (for rehabilitation in Rwanda) will be provided with workforce training, health care and housing support for their lives in Rwanda, giving them an opportunity to contribute to one of the fastest growing economies in the world in the last decade.”
A controversial practice
The Trump administration is already singing migrant exile for other countries, a step that was challenged in court.
As soon as it reached the US Supreme Court, most of the judges ruled in favor of allowing the administration to continue the practice.
Human rights activists have warned that policy may be violated by international law, as migrants may end in nations where they face the risk of torture, kidnapping and other abuses.
The White House has defended the practice, saying that in order to deal with migrants, it is necessary that the countries of the house refuse to accept them.
Recently, the US sent five men from Vietnam, Jamaica, Cuba, Yemen and Laos to the southern African state of Estini, where the government admitted that they would be held in a secluded imprisonment in a prison for a period of time.
Evatini, considered the last full monarchy of Africa, has refused to provide details about her system with the US.
