After winning the 2024 US presidential election, the Trump brand launched an aggressive expansion plan in India. The Trump Organization, a few days after Trump became President in November 2024, along with its Indian partner Tribeca Developers announced six new projects, which are spread in Gurugram, Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Noida and Bengaluru. The total area of these projects is about 80 million sq ft.
₹ 15,000 crore expected to sell
During the launch of the first commercial project of the Trump brand in Pune in March 2025, Tribaca Developers said that there is a possibility of selling around Rs 15,000 crore from the new projects. Trump Organization does not directly invest in construction work. He takes 3-5% from the sale of upfront fees or project by giving his brand license. These projects are usually in the luxury segment, in which the price of flats is more than that of Trump.
Earning 100 crores in a year
In 2024, Trump Organization earned at least 12 million dollars from India, or about 100 crores. The Trump brand in India has a total of 13 projects so far. Two of these have been completed, two are in the final stages, three are in the initial phase, three are waiting for launch, two are stalled and one has not been announced yet.
Eric Trump, executive vice president of The Trump Organization and son of Trump, said at the launch of the Pune project, “India has adopted Trump brand with incredible enthusiasm.” His brother Donald Trump Junior has already called India ‘the biggest expansion market for our organization’ on Tribesa’s website.
Who behind the Trump brand?
The Trump Organization is a family company based in New York, founded by Donald Trump. When he became President for the first time in 2017, he separated himself from the daily activities of the organization and handed over the responsibility of operation to his sons, while he still owns the ownership.
Whatever the political rhetoric of Donald Trump says, but the reality is that India remains the largest foreign center for his business interests.
