Trump also suggested External Affairs Minister Marco Ribio to join Vance’s partner on Republican tickets in future. He said, ‘I think Marco is also a person who can probably connect with JD Vance in some form.’ Due to this, there is a possibility of becoming a pair of Vance-Rubio in 2028. Since joining the Trump administration, Vance has played an important role as the chief spokesperson and diplomat, who strongly support the first agenda.
We praise Vance
Trump’s comment is a big step towards presenting Vance clearly as his political successor. In post-election statements in Florida, Trump introduced Vance as ‘Vice President-Own JD Vance’ and praised him and his Indian-American wife Usha. He described Vance as ‘zealous’, which ‘goes into the media stronghold and ruins him completely.’ He called Usha ‘amazing’.
Fantastic senator told Vance
After assuming office, Trump appreciated the brilliant performance in the Senate and said, ‘He was a great senator, very sensible.’ Jokingly, he said that only his wife Usha is ‘more intelligent’ than him. He also joked that if the rules had allowed, he would have elected Usha as Vice President. After Vance’s Senate victory, Trump praised his role in economic recovery and commitment to the MAGA principles. During Vance’s Senate candidature, Trump praised his ‘hardness’ and his loyalty to the Maga values.
