Former National Security Advisor John Bolton sharply criticized the policy. In a conversation with CNN, he said, ‘This policy of Trump government can break India’s trust with America. India has taken these tariffs negatively, while China has not been strict. Bolton believes that this policy may endanger for decades of efforts under which the US tried to bring India away from Russia and China and bring it into its camp.
