On Friday, August 8, the IGBCE union reported that Adidas had switched to membership in the employers’ association without collective bargaining. When asked about Schuhkurier, an Adidas spokesman confirms the process and explained it in a statement:
“Our employees are the best in the industry. In order for it to stay that way, we have to be able to offer salaries outside of a tariff structure and to create attractive developmental opportunities to all employees. Realizing the most popular employer worldwide and allows us to win the best talent for us. Adidas of course still apply in Germany. “
