Trump putin meeting: A meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Putin is going to be held to end the Russia-Ukraine war. On Friday, both the Presidents will meet in Alaska, USA. Prior to this meeting, Trump has clarified in a threatening tone that if Russia obstructed peace in Ukraine, it would have to face serious consequences. After this threat, the US has taken a big step. The US has decided to temporarily suspend certain sanctions imposed on Russia. This is not an attempt to please Putin before the meeting, but it has been done so that preparations related to the meeting between US President Trump and Putin in Alaska can be easier.

  • The restrictions shut down so that can come in the meeting: Under this license issued by the US Finance Ministry on Wednesday, some activities related to the meeting will be exempted from restrictions till August 20. This order was signed by the Director of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the Finance Ministry. According to the CNN report, a Finance Ministry spokesman said that most of the banned Russian officials coming to Alaska for summit had already been allowed to enter the US, as some special permissions were already issued for them. The OFAC spokesperson also said that even before this, such discounts have been given for high-level diplomatic tours.
