Trump has already warned Russia that if the Putin does not agree to end the war, then ‘very stringent results’ will have to be suffered. If the meeting is good, Trump can plan to hold a tri-nation meeting, which will also include Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky and some European leaders.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump will have a one-on-one-one meeting today at Alaska’s joint base Afferaff-Richardson. Both the leaders will reach the Ankrej in the morning local time and the conversation will begin at 11:30 pm (Indian time around 1 pm). The meeting will be in two phases. Putin will be accompanied by Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavarov, President’s Advisor Yuri Ushakov, Defense Minister Andre Belosov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov and Investment Chief Kiril Dimitriyev will be present. The agenda includes the solution of the Ukraine crisis as well as important international and regional issues. Apart from this, there will also be talks between the two countries about trade and economy. Trump and Putin will hold joint press conferences after the meeting.
