UNSC News: In the United Nations Security Council, Pakistan-China tried to ban Balochistan Liberation Army and its Majid Brigade. America, Britain and France stopped it as a lack of evidence. This has shocked Pakistan’s international strategy on terrorism.

Pakistan and China have suffered a major setback on the platform of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). In fact, Pakistan and China had proposed to include the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and its suicide wing Majid Brigade in the UN 1267 ban list. But this was banned by America, Britain and France. These countries said that there is not enough evidence to connect Bla and Majid Brigade with al-Qaeda or ISIL. This was the reason that this joint proposal could not be passed.

What is Un 1267 resolution?

This rule of UNSC was brought in 1999. Under this, organizations or individuals associated with al-Qaeda, Taliban and ISIL are banned on travel restrictions, property seizure and purchase of weapons. Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, a permanent representative of Pakistan at the United Nations, claimed that many terrorist organizations from Afghanistan are active, including ISIL-K, Al-Qaeda, Tehreek-e-Leiban Pakistan (TTP), BLA and Majid Brigade.

He said that terrorism is Pakistan’s biggest national security challenge and the land of Afghanistan is being used behind it. Pakistan also appealed to Afghan Taliban government to fulfill international promises

Pakistan shocks friend America

For Pakistan, it is like a shock in the UN. This is because last month, the US declared BLA and Majid Brigade as ‘Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO)’. In 2019, the US also put Bla in the ‘Special Digging Global Terrorist’ (SDGT) list. This rebellious organization of Balochistan is accused of attacking several major attacks, suicide blasts and foreign targets.

Bla’s attack

A major terrorist attack took place on Thursday in Ketch district of Balochistan. According to preliminary information, the Pakistan Army convoy was attacked with a blast, in which the death of three to four soldiers is reported. Security sources say that the attack may be suicidal and the number of casualties may increase further. However, the death toll has not been officially confirmed so far. According to sources, the army convoy was passing by the Cachetti Cross, Dasht Khadan on the M8 highway, which is about 60 km from the quick. Meanwhile, an explosive -laden vehicle collided with the convoy and a loud explosion occurred.
