At the beginning of October, Say announced that he was leaving the company, but the next steps were still kept quiet. “One last look over the JW campus. What an adventure this time was. Thank you for everything.”
In the same LinkedIn post, Selim Say announces the next stop on his professional journey: In the future, he will be Head of Sports and Outdoor Europe at Birkenstock. “It was meant to be and it was the right time for it. I’m really looking forward to connecting this brand with markets and people. We’ll see each other again soon.”
Selim Say was Vice President Footwear from 2001 to 2023 and Director Sales Footwear at Jack Wolfskin from October 2023 until recently. Before that, he worked at Keen for over six years and at Smartwool, a merino sock manufacturer based in the outdoor scene, for two and a half years.
