Gautam Adani responded to US allegations, said- “Every attack makes us stronger” – Gautam Adani responds to us allegations every attack makes us stronger
Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani (Gautam Adani) has responded to the allegations made by US prosecutors. Adani said on the matter today on November 30 that this is a challenge which the group has faced “not for the first time”. “As most of you may have read, less than two weeks ago we faced allegations from the US regarding compliance practices at Adani Green Energy,” he said during the 51st Gem & Jewelery Awards in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This is not the first time we have faced such challenges. I can tell you that every attack makes us stronger and every obstacle becomes a stronger step for Adani Group.”
What did Gautam Adani say in his reply?
Adani said, “The truth is that despite a lot of vested interest reporting, no one from the Adani side has been charged with any violation of the FCPA or any conspiracy to obstruct justice. Yet, in today’s world Negativity spreads faster than facts and as we work through the legal process, I want to reaffirm our full commitment to world-class regulatory compliance.”
He further added, “Despite Adani Group’s successes, the challenges it faced were even greater. These challenges have not broken us. Instead, they have defined us. They have made us stronger and given us this unbreakable confidence That after every fall, we will rise again, stronger and more resilient than before.”
Adani also remembered Hindenburg’s allegations
During this, he recalled the attack carried out by US-based short seller Hindenburg Research in January 2023. He said, “Just as we were getting ready to launch our follow-on public offer (FPO), we faced a short-selling attack from abroad. This was not a normal financial attack, it was a double attack , targeting our financial stability and dragging us into political controversy. All this was exaggerated by some media with vested interests. But despite such adverse circumstances, our commitment to our principles remained strong.”
Adani Green Energy has denied the allegations
Adani Green said in a clarification on November 27 that no allegations of bribery and corruption have been made against Adani Group founder Gautam Adani and his other officials under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) in the US. It also denied all related reports.
