The Munich Airport said in early Friday that on Thursday evening the scene of the drone forced air traffic control to stop operations.
This inspired the cancellation of 17 flights, disrupting the journey for around 3,000 passengers at the airport in Southern German state of Bavaria.
The airport said in a statement that another 15 upcoming flights were shifted to Stutgart, Noornberg, Vienna and Frankfurt.
Vikas comes after watching temporarily closed airports in Denmark and Norway last week.
The Oatrafest of Germany, which attracts hundreds of thousands of people every day to Munich, is coming in its last weekend.
