As voters in the Czech Republic wrap the second day of voting in the country’s parliamentary elections, a familiar face is ready to return to power.
Referendum surveys suggest that billionaire is a pioneer with more than 30% of votes, a self-explanation party ANO of former Prime Minister Andrez Babis, a self-revealing “Trumpist” that opposed the military aid for Ukraine.
Ano translates as yes, but therefore abbreviated to the action of disgruntled citizens.
According to the survey, the Center-Don Spolu (simultaneously) alliance headed by Prime Minister Petra Fiala, trails with about 20% of the votes. Another liberal conservative block, Stan, is polling about 10%, with many others support.
What will be the results of a Babis/ANO win for Ukraine and the European Union?
Observers are afraid that ANO winning for the spot in the 200 -seat Chamber of Deputy may face trouble for Ukraine. The Czech Republic has been a firm partner for Kyiv under Fiala.
Vote may further extend the balance of power within the European Union, involving Trukulant Hungary and Slovakia in protest against Brussels with Czech Republic capacity. Hungary and Slovakia have rejected Ukraine’s military aid and slipped the European Union sanctions against Russia.
Babis dubbed Himal as “peacock” during the campaign and promised the “check” approach to the leadership.
Talking to reporters after voting in the eastern city of Ostrava, Babis said, “Nothing is certain, we have not won yet.”
Fiala, while voting in the Brono, clarified the stakes of the election, saying that the voters are “deciding the direction of the Czech Republic … whether we go to the pasture, what is our path to the east or west.”
What happens if Babis and AO do not win a lump sum majority?
Although ANO is likely to come to the top, it cannot win an absolute majority, which means that the babies can be forced to form an alliance.
A potential partner will be a far-flung freedom and direct democracy (SPD) party, which is voting at about 12%. Observers say that SPD has spent more than all other parties for online advertising. It is therefore alleged to use Tikkok accounts “systematically supporters support the opposing system through Russian publicity and manipulation engagement.”
As a result, the European Commission on Thursday called the “emergency meeting” with the operators of Tiktok, making “many bots” from the platform in terms of the check elections. ,
For the closure of the election at 2 pm (1200 GMT) with the check media, it has been determined that the voter voting was more on Friday.
The results are expected to be declared on Saturday evening.
