Exhibition misses Hamas attack on Nova Music Festival – DW – 10/07/2025

An exhibition tells the story of the morning of October 7, 2023, about 3,000 people attending the Nova Music Festival in the Israeli desert became the victims of the deadliest in a concert in history. For the Israeli army, Hamas members killed 378 festivals, injured hundreds and more than 40 were taken hostage in Gaza Strip.

“October 7, 06:29 AM – The Moment Museum Still,” is known as the Nova exhibition, shown in Tel Aviv, New York, Buenos Aires and other cities. Now, it is on performance in Berlin.

Instead of providing a general observation of conflict, it focuses only on individuals who were at the Nova Music Festival in Israel. The exhibition is based on the historical Templehof Airport, where the festival ground is re -built using multimedia, and has three parts. Finally, the third part is dedicated to healing: under the motto “We Will Dance Again,” a room reminds visitors to music, community and power of resistance. “This exhibition belongs to the days and months after the attack, as the healing process is part of everyday life,” Fingold said.

The project is supported by the Nova Foundation’s tribe, established by the organizers of the Nova Music Festival, and brought to Berlin in collaboration with the representative of the local music and cultural view. The exhibition is under the patronage of Berlin Mayor Kai Veger, Federal Minister Karin Prain and Minister of State for Volfram Wimmer.

The exhibition is open at a time when peace talks are going on under Israel and Hamas. According to Israeli sources, around 50 people who were kidnapped from the Nova Festival and kidnapped settlements near the border on 7 October 2023, are still being held in the Gaza Strip.
