Last month, in the hearing to confirm his name in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Gore had described India as a strategic partner of America. He said he is committed to advancing America’s interests in this ‘important’ partnership. Gore had said, “Improving US-India trade relations will not only increase America’s competitiveness, but will also reduce China’s economic influence on other countries.”
