Midnight has already issued its full supply on Cardano

  • The token is not yet traded and therefore does not have a market price.

  • The Midnight project is developed in collaboration with Google Cloud.

The entire supply of the NIGHT token, belonging to the Midnight privacy network, was issued on the Cardano mainnet. This is 24 billion tokens.

This broadcast can confirm in block explorers, observing that the total supply of the digital asset is already registered on the network.

According to the Midnight team, these tokens will be distributed through a program called “Glacier Drop”, aimed at holders of various digital assets such as bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH) and Cardano’s own ADA.

The token is not yet listed on any exchange and therefore lacks an official market value. Its main function will be to utility within the Midnight ecosystemwhich includes the generation of “DUST”, a second token used to pay network fees.

Midnight, as CriptoNoticias has explained, is a side network (sidechain) from Cardano designed to offer selective privacy through the use of zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-proofs).

The project has gained notoriety for the participation of Google Cloud, which operates critical infrastructure and a validator node on the network.

This collaboration, while seeking to strengthen security and regulatory compliance to attract enterprise customers, has been the subject of debate in the community. Ecosystem specialists have raised questions about the risks of possible centralization and the influence of corporate actors in a network that promotes data privacy.

With its supply issuance completed, the next step for Midnight will be the distribution of the tokens and the development of its ecosystem.

The market will watch closely how the network balances its privacy proposal with the participation of technology giantsa factor that will define its future adoption.
