James Watson, co-discoverer of DNA’s double helix, passes away – DW – 11/07/2025

James Watson, one of the three scientists who discovered the double-helix structure of DNA, has died at the age of 97.

The Chicago-born researcher received the 1962 Nobel Prize along with Francis Crick and Maurice Wilkins.

He later faced condemnation for racist comments.
