Wiz, developer and co-founder of the open source tool Mempool.space, will have its operations center in El Salvador with the global relocation of the company behind this project.
The free explorer for blocks and mempool now, with team in Tokyo and global community, raises capital to scale as a formal company in Salvadoran soil. This was announced by Wiz on November 13, 2025 at the National Palace during the celebration of the “Historical Bitcoin” event held in the Central American country.
«I am very happy to confirm that Mempool.space will be moving to El Salvador. Today we have incorporated Mempool Holdings. “We have raised a significant amount of venture capital for this relocation and restructuring,” declared on the main stage before hundreds of attendees.
In this way, Mempool Holdings emerges as the new corporate entity under which the open source project is formally incorporated in El Salvador. With this movement, the company strengthens ties with the Salvadoran governmentwhich already uses a custom instance of the tool to track your bitcoin reserves (currently about 6,380 BTC, valued at about $616 million), as reported by CriptoNoticias.
The transfer responds to the government support that the country offers to the bitcoin ecosystem. «It is the only Government that really wants to help and support those who build in bitcoin. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you, President Bukele; Thanks, Stacy. [Herbert]Max [Keiser] and everyone in the Government,” Wiz added.
The developer said he visited the Bitcoin Beach community in 2021 and saw the transformation into the “first sovereign bitcoin city.” Since then, he has witnessed how El Salvador has created a favorable economic and regulatory environment for financial and technological innovation.
Wiz also highlighted El Salvador’s rapid educational progress and how CUBO+ students are now exploring mempool as part of their Bitcoin curriculum.
