In the midst of the dollar crisis, communities educate about sovereignty with bitcoin.
The Bitcoin Lab Bolivia community has just presented its new virtual academy, a pioneering educational space in the country. The heart of this project is an artificial intelligence (AI) community agent, designed to answer questions in real time, acting as a virtual tutor available 24 hours a day.
The academy offers a complete educational journey, from the course “Why Bitcoin Matters?” (with 6 hours of beginner-friendly content) to lessons on using secure BTC wallets and personal sovereignty.
In addition, the platform includes an interactive map that already registers 70 businesses in Bolivia where it is possible to pay with the currency created by Satoshi Nakamoto. Of them, 26 are verified and 64 operate with the speed of the Lightning Network.
This technological development is the product of close regional cooperation. The implementation of community AI in Bolivia was achieved thanks to the incentive of Emmanuel “Tokio” Fermín, a community leader in the Dominican Republic and leader of the Latin American Federation of Bitcoiners. Their work, connecting initiatives, allowed technical knowledge to cross borders.
“The only revolution that works is the one they cannot stop,” says Bruno, founder of Bitcoin Lab Bolivia. Under his impulse, the community has maintained a firm philosophy for four years. This consists of exclusive education about BTC, to focus on the true sovereignty of money.
This initiative was born in the midst of the shortage of dollars in the country which, together with the devaluation of the national currency, is pushing the population to look for alternatives to protect your savingssurvive and generate employment.

The world is beginning to notice this change. As Fabiola Acarapi, a local reference, said in a recent interview with CriptoNoticias about her time at the DevConnect Argentina event in November 2025: «When I said ‘I’m from Bolivia’, people came up. “Everyone wants to know what is happening with cryptocurrencies in my country.”
For this reason, Acarapi invites those interested to experience it: “If the world doesn’t know what we are doing, let them come and see it with their own eyes.” Although, with initiatives such as Bolivia’s community AI, Anyone can use it even from outside the country to live the educational experience of bitcoin up close.
