French film star and animal rights activist Brigitte Bardot has died at the age of 91, her foundation said on Sunday.
“The Brigitte Bardot Foundation announces with great sadness the passing of its founder and president, Madame Brigitte Bardot, a world-renowned actress and singer who decided to leave her distinguished career to devote her life and energies to animal welfare and her Foundation,” it said in a statement sent to the French news agency AFP.
He was hospitalized several times in 2025, most recently on 30 November when he was discharged from Saint-Jean Hospital in Toulon.
