11 years later, I came to live in the CriptoNoticias resistance

Today CriptoNoticias turns 11 years old and I, having just completed a year working within its editorial team, can say that one of the characteristics that best defines its trajectory is: not only staying in time, but doing so with criteria, continuity and an editorial line that does not depend solely on the situation. I’ll explain it to you.

There are media that build their relevance based on accelerated growth and others that consolidate it into something less visible, but more decisive: the ability to sustain oneself when interest declineswhen the market cools and the public conversation shifts.

My incorporation into the editorial team (as editor of Cryptopedia) occurred at a stage far from its origins. I was not part of the most uncertain moments or the first decisions that marked the course of the medium in a volatile and constantly redefining industry. However, that distance also offers me a particular perspective: that of joining a project that has already gone through cycles of expansion and contraction, of enthusiasm and skepticism, and that has managed to sustain a recognizable identity in the midst of those changes, just like Bitcoin.

In this time I have understood that working in this medium specialized in this ecosystem, so unique in itself, so novel and sometimes dangerous, does not only imply covering an industry, but interpret your cycles. It is an ecosystem marked by constant fluctuations, not only in terms of market, but also in terms of attention. When interest grows, narratives abound; when it decreases, the focus is reduced. All of this affects CriptoNoticias. In that context, maintaining rigorous coverage is not an automatic exercise, but a sustained practice which requires editorial discipline.

A path marked by resilience

Throughout this year as part of the editorial team, A definition about CriptoNoticias has been around in my head and it is: resilience. In a journalistic medium like this, that concept takes on a more concrete meaning. It is not expressed only in the ability to resist critical events, such as readers’ disinterest in bitcoin (BTC) when everything goes wrong, but in the continuity of news work and the value of reporting even when the outlook is bleaker.

Taking on this job also implies recognizing a responsibility. Joining a newsroom with more than a decade of experience has meant adapting to a structure that has been tested in different contexts, and understanding that its solidity is the result of important decisions in scenarios of uncertainty, where the most important thing has always been to bring the truth – whatever the cost – to you, our reader, an important piece of this entire project.

In that journey, CriptoNoticias has published more than 40,000 articles, and beyond the figure, I interpret it as evidence of editorial consistency in a sector where many projects fail to sustain themselves over time. This permanence is linked, to a large extent, to a central principle: the independence of editorial criteria.

Now, independence does not imply neutrality. Throughout these years, the medium has maintained a clear position regarding beginning like decentralizationfinancial sovereignty and real adoption, especially in contexts where these ideas have a direct impact.

From my experience, this position is not built from commercial interests nor does it respond to external incentives, but rather from data, analysis, sustained coverage and staying true to the essence of an ecosystem that was born without ties.

Regarding the above, and in a world that is blurred based on capitals or momentary trends, I understand that this independent editorial line, in itself, is a form of resistance. It is not only about informing, but about doing so without giving in to pressures that blur the criteria.

This year working in the medium led me to analyze that the resilience I mention has not been an abstract attribute, but rather a daily practice; which has manifested itself in the daily editorial work, in the relationship with readers and in the constant decision to prioritize real, sincere, untethered content, always focused on the truth and not on the situation.

Coming to a newsroom with this journey ultimately means joining a story that has already gone through multiple stages. And also assume (with responsibility) that I am part of a continuity that I am sure will continuewith the same rigor and principles that have sustained it until now: independence, resilience, teamwork and valuable information.
