One killed, four injured in explosion in western German city
German police say one person was killed and four others were seriously injured in an explosion at a pedestrian underpass in Völklingen on Saturday morning.
Two people were said to have suffered life-threatening injuries in the explosion, which investigators said was caused by “human action”.
He did not initially provide further details.
Völklingen is a town of about 40,000 people located a few kilometers (miles) west of Saarbrücken, the capital of the Saarland state, on the border with France.

No migration increase between Iran – Interior Minister Dobrindt
German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt has said that the US-Israel war over Iran has prevented many people from seeking refuge in Europe so far, but that European authorities are taking precautionary measures.
“At the moment we are not seeing an increase in migration pressure,” Dobrindt said. rhenish post newspaper in an interview published on Saturday.
He said authorities were monitoring migration activities in countries such as Iran and Lebanon.
“Currently, we are seeing high levels of internal migration in both countries, but we are not yet detecting pressure at the Turkish border. This would be the first indicator of further migration movement towards Europe,” Dobrindt said.
