US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he will raise tariffs on cars and trucks from the European Union to 25% next week.
In the post on Truth Social, Trump claimed the EU is “not in compliance with our fully agreed-upon trade agreement,” though he did not provide details.
Trump and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen agreed to a trade deal last July. The deal sets a 15% tariff on most goods.
