In win for Trump, US Supreme Court pave way for mass deportation of Haitians and Syrians


The US Supreme Court has backed a Trump administration move to strip deportation protections from some 350,000 Haitians and 6,000 Syrians living in the United States. The decision effectively stops migrants from being able to make the asylum claim. One of three dissident Justices criticized the role race played in the decision to strip Haitians of their temporary protected status.
