Israel has taken responsibility for Wednesday night’s strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying he personally authorized the attack to kill a top Hezbollah Commander identified as Malek Balou. The continued ceasefire incursions are further pressing talks between Tel Aviv and Beirut, which are being supported by the US.
